Researchers say that while the study does not prove that air pollution causes psychotic experiences, it adds to growing evidence that air pollution may have wider effects on the body beyond the heart and lungs. They speculate that tiny particles of air pollution could get past the lungs and into the blood and then travel on to the brain. There they could trigger inflammation and contribute to poor mental health. Another theory is that the chemicals coating these particles could dissolve in the blood and be carried to the brain and again lead to inflammation. The research team say that noise pollution could partially explain the link too for example noisy traffic could disturb sleep and add to the stress of city life. But they were unable to measure this directly.

The second, closely related, way in which the discussion of a culture of violence is problematic is that it elides state led policies that endorse certain kinds of violent actionsbased on who is committing the violence and who the violence is committed againstrather than on the action in question. Examples of the second would include executive policies such as a memo that authorized the use of drones to kill people who are suspected of terrorism or having a governmental body vote in favor of a federal judgeship for the lawyer who co authored that memo; or the actions of federal judges who exculpate police officers who shoot young black men while sentencing a political protestor to prison for elbowing a policeman for a grab, or a range of bills that unanimously approve the pre emptive policing, or potential detention, or profiling and entrapment thousands of people who loosely fall into the same group as the 19 men who flew into the World Trade Center in 2001. Culture, like social construction, seems to sidestep an assumption that certain traits are permanently embedded, without confessing to that assumption. It seems that culture is most often used in 4 different ways:2. As a comparative descriptor, such as when praising a group of people affiliated with a certain society as having superlative values: French culture, Western culture, progressive culture. 3. Confirmation and fluency; second and thirdgrade: Gradually, as the child becomes more confident in hisdecoding skills, he reads for comprehension of the text. 4. Reading to learn new information fourththrough eighth grade: Once fluency is established, the reader canmake the shift from "learning to read" to "readingto learn. " He can acquire information from a text andcompare it to his own ideas, but he is generally limited to oneviewpoint at a time. His vocabulary now increases more throughreading than through conversation.

No one could possibly sustain the brashness and rebellion of youth. Every show on this list save for MADtv came undone before it could disassemble and reassemble and deal with the weight of success and becoming a brand. But the show, and its creator, have endured. SNL is very good, very often. But its the establishment now and theres no getting around what that means when comparing the show to ones that can more freely move in the space. SNLs strengths are its production values and access to top tier talents that come in, takeover, and create things that likely couldnt be made on another show. Especially now. The trio of John Mulaney New York y musical numbers really stands out as an example of that, specifically the first one, set in a diner. Also produced by Lorne Michaels, Kids In The Hall wasnt coming for SNLs crown. The goal was more clearly to be a companion piece and a vessel for indie tinged comedy that the mothership couldnt replicate. Thing is, they were too good to exist in the shadows and too pure to get sanded down for the masses.
